For your prayers this week
- Almighty God, from whom all thoughts of truth and peace proceed: kindle, we pray, in the hearts of all, the true love of peace and guide with your pure and peaceable wisdom those who take counsel for the nations of the earth that in tranquillity your kingdom may go forward, till the earth is filled with the knowledge of your love.
- For our Diocesan Link in Sudan and for The Holy Land:
We pray without ceasing for justice, reconciliation, peace, and an end to hatred and war. We also pray for God to change the hearts of all leaders and decision-makers in our countries and around the world, For we are in dire need or hearts that love, show mercy, and are willing to live in unity with others – hearts that respect human dignity and choose life rather than death.
We entrust the countries of our Lord’s earthly home into the hands of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, asking him to have mercy on us all and to give us his peace and blessing. Amen
- In Cross Hills we pray for all who live or work on Station Grove, Midland Mills Industrial Estate, Willow Garth Avenue, Skipton Road, & Riparian Way.
- We pray for all involved in the stories we have seen or heard on the news this week.
- We pray for all who are ill, in body mind or spirit.
- We pray for all who have died, and for their bereaved family and friends.
And our prayer for growth:
who alone brings growth to your Church,
Send your Holy Spirit to give
And power to our witness.
Help your church to grow in numbers,
In spiritual commitment to you,,
And in service to our local community,
Through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Food Bank Collections
This is a reminder that we have food bank collection points in St Andrew's Kildwick and St John's Cononley. The latest news from the food bank is that they have low stock of:
- UHT milk
- Porridge oats
- Shampoo
- Easter Eggs (small is best)
We have plenty of tinned soup, baked beans and pasta.
As this cost of living crisis continues more and more people are needing the help of the food bank. Your donations help those who are in the greatest need! Thank you for all your donations.

Good Friday Concert - Bach's Mass in B Minor
Ben Crick and Skipton Camerata join forces with the Leodis Consort to perform Bach's late choral masterpiece.
Completed a year before his death, Bach's great Mass in B minor is one of the pinnacles of human artistic achievement. Although conceived for the church, the B minor Mass expresses a full range of feelings conveying profound humanity whatever one's beliefs.
For this performance Ben Crick and Skipton Camerata join forces with the Leodis Consort, a Leeds-based choir dedicated to delivering high-quality, historically informed performances that showcase the beauty and richness of early music.
