For your prayers this week

  • Creator God, the sun, the wind and the waves are your gifts for the flourishing of the whole community of life on earth. Help us to harness this power and use it creatively to produce renewable energy for all. O God, help us to share in your generosity and love for the whole of Creation.
  • For our Diocesan Link in Sudan and for The Holy Land:
God of mercy and compassion, of grace and reconciliation, pour your power upon all your children living through war and conflict: Jews, Muslims and Christians,
people of any faith or none. Let hatred be turned into love, fear to trust, despair to hope, oppression to freedom, occupation to liberation, that violent encounters may be replaced by loving embraces, and peace and justice could be experienced by all. Amen
  • In Cross Hills we pray for all who live or work on Mill Street, Clayton Hall Road, Westland Close, Clayton Fold, & Aire Street.
  • We pray for all involved in the stories we have seen or heard on the news this week.
  • We pray for all who are ill, in body mind or spirit.
  • We pray for all who have died, and for their bereaved family and friends.
And our prayer for growth:

God of Mission,
who alone brings growth to your Church,
Send your Holy Spirit to give
Vision to our planning,
Wisdom to our actions,
And power to our witness.
Help your church to grow in numbers,
In spiritual commitment to you,,
And in service to our local community,
Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
