For your prayers this week
- Give thanks for our Retired Clergy and those with Permission to Officiate, for the invaluable support they give to parishes across the Diocese of Leeds.
- For our Diocesan Link in Sudan and for The Holy Land:
We pray without ceasing for justice, reconciliation, peace, and an end to hatred and war. We also pray for God to change the hearts of all leaders and decision-makers around the world, For we are in dire need or hearts that love, show mercy, and are willing to live in unity with others – hearts that respect human dignity and choose life rather than death.
We entrust the countries of our Lord’s earthly home into the hands of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, asking him to have mercy on us all and to give us his peace and blessing. Amen.
- In Cononley we pray for all who live or work on Moorfoot Lane, Main Street, Gibside Lane, Cross Hills Road and St John’s Street.
- We pray for all involved in the stories we have seen or heard on the news this week.
- We pray for all who are ill, in body mind or spirit.
- We pray for all who have died, and for their bereaved family and friends.
And our prayer for growth:
who alone brings growth to your Church,
Send your Holy Spirit to give
And power to our witness.
Help your church to grow in numbers,
In spiritual commitment to you,,
And in service to our local community,
Through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Dates for your diary
Tim Lee from Jigsaw will be joining us at St John's Cononley on 14th April for our United Parish Communion Service. Please do get this date in your diary as we hear about the fantastic work Jigsaw is doing. There will also be a Bring and Share meal after the service where we can keep our discussions with Tim going.
