World Book Day comes to Church
World Book Day isn’t just for schools, as we found out this last week. Various books about theology, prayer, vocation and more, were available for parishioners to take for free from each of our three churches.
Books were also given to the CHUFFs (Church For Under Fives) group for the children to take away, and young people didn’t miss out either, receiving a bible appropriate to each of them.
Reverend Mike said, “With World Book Day falling in Lent, we felt this initiative would help our parishioners to become closer to God, learning more about Him and His work in our world.”
It has been a great success with over 100 books being given away. If you didn’t manage to get to church on Sunday and would like a book, please do contact Reverend Mike and he will sort that for you.
