St Andrew’s is an ancient church mentioned in the 1087 Domesday Book.
We have much history in St Andrew’s, from bits of 10th century Christian crosses, to a letter from Florence Nightingale, to an ancient parish chest, to a monument of a Knight Templar ….. the list goes on. Do come and visit us and see over 1000 years of history for yourself.
St Andrew’s church is classified as a “Major Church” in the Church of England, alongside the Cathedrals and some of the most important parish churches in the country.
