Back in the tower?

Following the decision to re-start public worship (see the vicar’s letter below), it is possible that the ringers will be making careful first steps back into the tower to ring for the service.

We need to do a proper risk assessment – we’ll ring for just 15 minutes and on bells whose ropes are properly socially distant.

Meanwhile…  Back at base, there has been a bit of rope-making!  As far as I know, this is the only set of 12 ropes in existence with Yorkshire tail ends!

You may spot the extra one, hitched up at the top.  Many rings of 12 have at least one “extra” semitone bell to allow a musical light octave to be rung.
