Christmas Collections
Last Christmas we collected for two charities that Rev’d Mike has visited in Palestine, and those who needed food parcels there. This money went through the McCabe Education Trust, who partnered with the Shepherd Society at Bethlehem Bible College to ensure it got to where it was needed most. Below is a video created by the Shepherd Society from that time.
This year Rev’d Mike has asked us to join with McCabe Education Trust to help raise £15,000 to deliver 220 food parcels to Bethlehem families. Also in Bethlehem, the Al Shurooq Blind school is in serious financial difficulty. So The McCabe Education Trust’s Christmas wish is to raise £20,000 for Al Shurooq, to fund the installation of solar panels (£12,000) and a new hot water system (£8,000). These projects will help dramatically reduce ongoing monthly costs from thousands to just hundreds of pounds.
The Jeel al Amal Boys home in Bethany is also in a dire situation as all other sources of regular income have stopped. Both these projects, that Rev’d Mike has visited and the McCabe Education Trust has encouraged over the decades, are now more than ever reliant on our funding.
Donations can be made at each of our special Christmas services, online using the donation option below, or by contacting Rev’d Mike directly at https://kcb.church/contact-the-vicar/
