From Archbishop Ezekiel

A message from Archbishop Ezekiel in Khartoum:

Belated Easter Greetings! I could not write before to say Happy Easter because my son Sila’s illness took most of my time though I managed to preach in the Cathedral on Easter Sunday, not to an empty church and empty pews like elsewhere in the world.  The Cathedral was packed but it won’t be so next Sunday as the government has announced a complete lockdown beginning this Saturday for 3 weeks!  Services in mosques and churches are suspended until further notice.  This came because there are confirmed cases with coronavirus in Khartoum State.  Lockdown may also be extended to the other states.

Sila is well having undergone surgery on the head through the nose!  He had a severe headache for nearly 20 days. Thank God that operation was successful. It happened on Wednesday 8th and he was discharged on Easter Sunday 12th April 2020. He is now home. Thank you and many others who have been praying for us.

For the next 3 weeks, we will be working from home just like you.

God bless.  My prayers are with you.
Ezekiel
