New Help for Jigsaw – UPDATE

The children and families Jigsaw ministers with are in desperate need for everyday humanitarian and hygiene resources, by helping to collect resources that we can send to the Philippines you will help us to respond to needs and build up children and families lives in so many vital ways.

The boxes are in place in each of our churches and are collecting:

HYGIENE & HEALTH RESOURCES (Normally at St Andrew’s)

  • Toothbrushes and toothpaste.
  • Combs and hairbrushes.
  • Flannels and soap.
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Plasters, bandages, sterile dressings
  • Antiseptic cream and antiseptic wipes
  • Gauze and gauze bandages.
  • Thermometers, tweezers, nail cutters.
  • Calpol/children’s liquid paracetemol
  • Sudocrem 
  • Disposable gloves

LADIES EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME (Normally at St John’s)

  • Good quality material
  • Cottons, buttons, zips, ribbon
  • Needles
  • Scissors, thimbles, pin cushions

CHILDRENS CLUBS & LITRACY CENTRE (Normally at St Mary’s)

  • Coloured A4 paper, gummed coloured square paper, A4 white card.
  • Coloured pencils, pencils, coloured felt pens, biro’s, white chalk, coloured chalk.
  • Small scissors, glue sticks, pva glue.
  • Pipe cleaners, plain and coloured lollipop sticks, stickers, beads, yarn, googly eyes, ribbon
  • Plain and lined school exercise books.
  • Rulers, rubbers, protractors. 
  • Smily face stickers and other stickers.

Please do have a look and let’s try to send full boxes over to the Philippines 2-3 times a year!
