St Andrew’s Roof – August Update

The work on the roof in the nave is almost finished. We are waiting for the plaster to dry a little more then the architect will make a final inspection. Subject to that all being approved, the church should be handed back to us on 23rd September.

We will then have to put things back into position and we have a deep clean booked in. This all means that we are on track to reopen the church on Sunday 6th October at 10am for a celebratory communion service with Bishop Toby of Bradford and members of the Leodis Consort making up a special choir for the day.

We will also be blessing our new nave altar!

I have attached some photographs of the woodwork with views that you can not normally see from the ground, just to show you how beautiful it is up there!
